In 2025, the Nutrition and Food Congress will be held for the first time in Braga. As the usual cities are being demobilized, the theme will be “The Time of Nutrition”. This theme highlights the importance of approaching nutrition from different perspectives in time: natural cycles of nutrition, including life and feeding cycles, the biological clock and the appropriate timing for interventions.

In this context, the image selected for this edition of the Congress reflects the concepts of time and movement, translating the need to approach nutrition in all its dimensions, considering the multiple perspectives and meanings and respecting the appropriate time for each action.

OBJECTIVES

  • Ensure easy and equitable access to science based on scientific evidence;
  • Promote the sharing of knowledge from renowned speakers at national and international level in a scientific environment;
  • Encourage the exchange of experiences in the field of nutritional sciences internationally;
  • Give professionals the opportunity to exhibit and publicize their work nationally and internationally;
  • Provide professionals with skills that allow them to perform excellent and outstanding activities;
  • To disseminate recent developments in nutritional sciences and their applications;
  • Stimulate scientific research in the areas of nutrition and food and food innovation in its relationship with health;
  • Intervene in improving citizens’ quality of life through food;
  • Promote health education through nutrition;
  • Encourage disease prevention through diet;
  • Highlight the importance of increasing nutritional treatment of diseases;
  • Promote food quality and safety.
